The Soda Pictures app was developed to promote the launch of the film Powder, which follows the story of a young man who wants to be a rock star.
Since Powder was filmed on location at the V-festival, the app included a competition for visitors attending this year’s festival. People were invited to upload photos that they took during the event, which they could then share with their friends on Facebook. While people had to attend the festival to enter the competition, anyone could vote for their favourite photo. The app also included information about the movie and a video trailer.
This app successfully promoted Powder while giving audiences the opportunity to share their experience at the festival.
